Lincoln Success in Veterans Tournament

Lincoln carried off the the Old Peculiars Challenge Shield for the fourth consecutive year with an excellent display of Veterans hockey at Yarborough Leisure Centre last Saturday. The results were as follows:Lincoln Hockey Club

  • Lincoln 4 v Old Peculiars 2
  • Welsh Dragons 0 v Lincoln 3
  • Old Peculiars 0 v Welsh Dragons 2

Lincoln 6 points, Welsh Dragons 3 points, Old Peculiars 0 points

The Lincoln Veterans squad was:
Billy Marwaha (Captain), Pete Richards (GK), Andy Wright, Tony Wing, Steve Ward, Vinnie Patel, Chris Lendon, Dave Yorkshire, Ian Ferraby, Mark Davies, Paul Brazinskas, Phil Baker, Steve Seymour, Kevin White and Chris Topham
Ray Nicholson and Tony Perrin umpired all three matches

This annual fixture was once again a huge success and Lincoln’s visitors are now looking forward to next year’s tournament and the new pitch which is currently being constructed at The Lindum Sports Club on Wragby Road.
