Fixture Changes for the Current Hockey Season

Geoff Ngao, in his role as Mens’ Fixtures Secretary, has reported a number of changes that have been made as early as the fifth week of the league season. These are mainly changes put in place by the Yorkshire Hockey Association as a result of clubs withdrawing teams from competition.

Club FixturesWithout going into too much detail, the main changes relate to the following;

  • Mens 2nd Team: Leeds Adel 5 have withdrawn from the league
  • Mens 3rd Team: Wakefield 8 and Slazengers 5 have withdrawn from the league. Yorkshire Hockey Association have redrawn the fixtures for the now empty dates
  • Mens 4th Team: Kingston upon Hull have withdrawn from the league
  • Ladies 3rd Team: Some home fixtures have been pushed back to 14:00

All fixtures have been update on the website’s fixtures pages to reflect these changes, should anyone need to print off new copies. The fixtures that will definitely take place for the England Hockey and Yorkshire Hockey Cup and Vase competitions are also now listed, though the quarter finals, etc. will be added as teams proceed through the various competitions.
