Fitness Training Update from Lizzie

Well done to everyone who has taken part in fitness training over the first half of the season. Hopefully everyone who has come to the sessions has got something out of it. As the year is drawing to a close and the nights are getting colder and darker fitness training will be postponed until the New Year.
Fitness Training, 2016
Fitness training will be taking a slightly different approach in 2016 in the form of workshop style sessions. These will be based on all Hockey related fitness that everyone can incorporate in their own training, on and off the pitch.
The following sessions will be run on the following dates (all 7pm – 8pm):
- 4th of January – Acceleration and speed
- 25th January – Agility
- 15th February – Anaerobic Threshold
I will be re-testing the agility and leg power assessments from pre-season to hopefully see some improvements!!!
Please put these dates in your diary, only 3 more fitness sessions until the end of the season. All teams are doing really well so far but the season isn’t over yet and there is always time to be fitter
