1st Team Goalkeeper Alan Sanderson has been selected to represent his country for England’s Over 35s this summer, and is raising funds to help realise his ambition

On the back of an historic 1st Team season, Alan Sanderson was awarded the Mens’ Goalkeeper of the Season award last weekend and has also been selected in the Mens Over 35s England Squad. This June he will compete in the Hockey Home Nations in Lisnagarvey, Northern Ireland, and at the 2018 Masters World Cup in Terrassa (Barcelona), in Spain, in July / August. While this is undoubtably a very proud moment for Alan and all of those around him, there are costs involved in competing and these come from the athletes themselves.

As Alan says, “I am incredibly proud to have achieved this and could not have done so without the support of my friends, past and current team-mates and coaches, as well as my family. Unfortunately, the cost of participation in these events is fairly significant, and is entirely self funded.”
