Another week in isolation and our Junior Coaches keep on delivering Virtual Hockey challenges for our Juniors to make the most of the great weather forecast for the week ahead
This week, Alex Cooper gives you a “Hockey Golf” challenge to make the most of your skills around the garden / driveway / living room (just check with someone that you’re alright to knocking hockey balls around in your living room!).
Start of with something easy and then find obstacles around your garden (anything!) to challenge yourselves further. It doesn’t matter what you use; garden canes, skipping ropes, plant pots, wellies, sunbathing parents – whatever you can find.
If you’re lifting the ball up in the air, and testing those 3D skills, just make sure that there isn’t anything easily breakable around.
Finally, to learn from my experience, be careful around large conifer hedges as the one in my back garden has swallowed at least six hockey balls since lockdown began.
