A mid-season update on Junior Hockey progress at Lindum Hockey Club.

Under 10 Girls

Our U10 girls have gone from strength to strength after their first year in the Yorkshire set up last season. They have finished top of Division 1 in the lead up to Christmas! Thank you to all the players and parents who have spent many a wet and windy Sunday at Wakefield Hockey Club!

Under 10 Boys

We are slowly but surely getting an U10 boys team together and they have been playing in the Lincolnshire Leagues. Thank you again to all the parents who have supported this team and we hope their team continues to build after Christmas!

They had two wins and a loss at their last tournament which is great!

Under 12 Girls

Our U12 team is new this year and have been playing in the Yorkshire set up.

They have been doing extremely well and really starting to gel as a team! Big shout out to Mr Goodhand who has been supporting the girls and to all the parents who again have spent many Sundays wet and cold at the side of a hockey pitch!

Under 12 Boys

We have had a couple of our U12 boys playing in the Yorkshire set up with Hull which is great! We really hope we can get a full Lindum team together to play alongside our girls in the future!

Development Team

Our development team have been going through a bit of a transition period with many of the players from last season successfully moving into adult hockey! They have recently been finding their rhythm after a string of cancellations (not our fault).

A reminder to everyone that junior club members who are in year 7 and up can play on a Saturday with the team!

Availability is a big factor for all clubs at the moment so we need all the support

Coaching

Our junior section can not run as smoothly as it does without the people who volunteer their time and effort to the club. A big thank you to our coaches Joern, Matt, Will, Ryan, Dukey, Lee, Alex, Tom and Jamie who have been present most Wednesdays or Saturdays since September!

We have a number of Junior Coaches who attend as well who are great role models for the juniors working their way up so a big thank you to Grace, Eva, Elias and Ethan!

A big thank you to Billy who looks after the Development team and we hope to have better luck in the second half of the season!
