Lincoln Hockey Club makes an appearance in England Hockey’s Magazine
The entry in the magazine reported on England Hockey Board Chief Executive Sally Munday congratulating all winners and nominees, and recognising the commitment of volunteers right the way through the sport.
The report reads: ”
Best of Hockey Recognised at the EHB Annual Awards
There was much to celebrate at the EHB Annual Awards as the best of hockey was recognised. In all, 16 awards covering the 2012/12 were presented, with honours covering everything from coaching and umpiring, to clubs, teams athletes and administrators.
Applauding all of those shortlisted for an award, EHB Chief Executive Sally Munday said “I congratulate everyone who has won an award and all those that were nominated. Much of what is achieved in hockey from grassroots upwards only happens because of the energy and time given by thousands of volunteers.
The England Hockey Board recognises and values the incredible commitment and expertise they give to our sport – we truly could not survive without them. Volunteers are the lifeblood of hockey. They operate at every level of the game, in every community, in every club and in every association.
There were many nominations and votes for our champions. Our Awards Review Panel selected a shortlist of 40 but there were so many inspirational and wonderfully talented people across the sport. We warmly thank and celebrate the contribution of every volunteer in hockey, not just those who have won awards here but the many dedicated individuals across the county that give their expertise, time and commitment for the good of others.
