Twenty players ranging from 11 years of age to 61 years of age turned up for an Intra-Club Badgers match at Yarborough last Saturday. Victory went to the Blues 4 – 2. It was possible to hold it due to there being no Men’s 1st team match and six “senior” players mixed with the juniors of the club to field two Badgers sides – Blues and Whites.

Blues scored first and made it 2 – 0 only for the Whites to get one back just before half time. The Blues dominated the second half scoring twice more with the Whites scoring a consolation second goal before the end. This was a great chance for the juniors to play alongside more experienced players and learn the 11-a–side game and “didn’t they do well”. It was a a very enjoyable game with some fantastic hockey played by our youngsters and there were no losers, just winners, as this was a great game of Badgers hockey and showed just how skilful our youngsters are now. Thanks to Tony Wing and Jon Bigham for umpiring.
Teams:
