This summer we are very excited at the news of a new floodlit, artificial grass pitch being laid at The Lindum Sports Association – the spiritual home of Lincoln Hockey Club – in the north of the city specifically for hockey. Once complete we will be playing most of our home games there as well as training at The Lindum as well.Lindum Sports Association

The latest news on the pitch is that The Lindum are waiting for the final word from one of the funding sources before the spades can go into the ground. The funding has come from England Hockey, Sport England, National Hockey Foundation, the Longdales Trust and Lincoln Minster School, and the process has to go through all of their required legal processes. We believe that it is a case of ‘when’ as opposed to ‘if’ the building work will go ahead, it’s simply that the legal side needs to be signed off beforehand. Sadly this has caused a slight delay and we’re now expecting the pitch to be ready, assuming a relatively dry summer (as this affects the foundations), in late October / early November.

The Lindum are raising an additional £25k as matched funding for the Lincoln Hockey Project from the above funding sources. They have already raised £650k for the new Floodlit Artificial Grass Pitch and changing room refurbishment but need the extra money to complete the whole project over the coming summer.
