Former Lincoln Hockey Club player and team captain, Roy Hazlehurst has died. “Trigger”, as he was nicknamed in the club, played for Lincoln Hockey Club for many years before retiring early from hockey to do other things. He was a very nice man and many caring tributes have been coming in from his former pupils.
Roy Hazlehurst

Roy, 57, was an art teacher for 35 years at the now North Kesteven Academy for the Performing Arts and an assistant head teacher for the last ten years before recently retiring.

He died on August 20, three weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. He will be remembered fondly by all that knew him in the club and was always such good fun to be with both on and off the hockey pitch. Our deepest sympathy goes to his wife, Nicki, a former Lincoln HC player too, and family at this very sad time. His funeral is at Lincoln Crematorium on Friday 6th September at 2.30pm.
