Mens 3rd Team in the Development League

The Yorkshire Hockey Association – the leagues that the Lincoln HC male sides play in – have developed a league for youngsters to play in, along with about three senior players. This is to get young players playing in an 11 a side hockey match the right way. For some of our youth players, it may be the first time they have played in an 11 a side hockey game and there is no better way to learn to play it properly than playing with three adult players plus eight junior players on the pitch at any one time. This is often called “Badgers Hockey” and this development league is a major breakthrough for us to play in.

The website holds the dates of the matches and the league table for the development division. Home games should be played at the Yarborough Leisure Centre pitch. Could junior players please have a look at the dates and let me know the pre-Christmas fixtures that you are, and are not, available for (after Christmas we shall again ask for your commitment dates). Home game times are likely to be mid afternoon around 3.00pm, away game times will vary.

Further details follow when known. At the moment we just want your availability as much as possible up to Christmas, for the present.
