Success at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards 2013
Club President Tony Perrin won the award for Coach Of The year at the awards event this evening. Tony is well known for running the training of the club’s younger players on a Saturday morning and umpiring at least one of the senior games in the afternoon. He’s also been instrumental in the setting up of our new Mens’ Development Team that has so far seen considerable success this year. Tony gives a huge amount of his time to the club and he’s worked very hard this year with Pete Rushmere to renew Lincoln Hockey Club’s Clubs First accreditation while playing a pivotal role in the club’s involvement with the new pitch currently being put down at the Lindum.
Tony’s nomination cited his work with coaching the club’s youngsters, gaining Clubs First Status and his coaching and management of the Lincolnshire Mens’ County side earlier this year to become the England Hockey County Champions, proudly showing off the trophy back in August!

Further success came from Club Veteran player Steve Seymour, winning the Veteran Sportsman of the Year. Steve made his debut for the over 60s full England side earlier this year, scoring two goals for England in their European Finals campaign in Antwerp. England went on to be crowned champions having won all of their games in the tournament.
