U14s Lincolnshire Friendly League at Bourne Deeping HC
Lincoln B worked hard all day – moving the ball well, using the space and tackling with strength. They conceded single goals against Long Sutton A and the host club, Bourne Deeping A. They claimed a no goal draw against Spalding Tigers and their skill finally paid off against Long Sutton Bs with a well worked goal that clinched the victory. Lincoln B improved steadily as the day went on and, in the final match of the day, managed to hold Lincoln A to just a 2 goal lead. Overall, the team finished 4th meaning they hold their position in the division.
Lincoln A displayed similar skill on the ball as well as some excellent movement off the ball – the only difference between our two teams being that Lincoln A were slightly more clinical in the ‘D’. With a goal total of eight for the day it is unsurprising that they finished in the top two of the division. Unfortunately they were denied the top spot by Spalding Tigers, who hit two goals home to Lincoln A’s zero.
Some excellent hockey played by all and, as Finals Day draws nearer, each player will be entering the next round with more determination than ever to get the best results they can! Thank you to players, coaches and (as always) our travelling, ever supportive, spectator parents – Lincoln Hockey Club Juniors couldn’t do it without all of you!
