Club Welfare – Positive Vetting Procedure Club Welfare – Positive Vetting Procedure

Coaches, parents and helpers who are involved in the coaching, managing or transporting of junior hockey players are required to complete a positive vetting procedure. The only exception is if parents agree to the transporting of their children by another parent.

To start the vetting procedure please send your full name and e-mail address to the Welfare Officer, Peter Rushmere, at [email protected]. Once registered on the system you will receive an e-mail asking you to provide details of three documents which will include proof of your name, address and date of birth. Once this has been done the Welfare Officer needs to physically check these documents to complete the process. This can be done on a Saturday morning or another time at your convenience. The club pays for the check. Once cleared you will receive a certificate through the post. The certificate is valid for three years.

If you have any concerns about the system please speak to the Welfare Officer.
