Match Report: Ladies 4s v. Hull University 2
Posted by Glyn Fowler
With nearly a full team we headed out to Hull to play bottom of the league University Team (with only a slight delay due to a mishap with the kit bag being sent to the Lindum by Paula!)
Lindum 4s started off a little sluggishly but with strong, simple play soon gained momentum. There were several balls on the feet of the opposition that should of resulted in some early short corners but these were not picked up by the Umpires (who maybe should of gone to Specsavers??)
For the second half, after a motivational pep talk by the Captain Trish, spirits were high and we started as we meant to go on with the Lindum Team dominating play. Well defended 16s by applying an excellent press meant the majoity of the play occured on the oppositions half of the pitch. However, despite many balls into the D, three short corners and some fantastic runs up the pitch by midfield, we were unable to convert these into goals ending the game an undeserved 0-0 draw
