Ladies 5s Gain Promotion
The Ladies 5s have become the first of Lindum Hockey Club’s teams to gain promotion in the 2016 / 2017 hockey season.
This weekend’s game against Epworth 2, taking place at the Lindum Sports Association, has been officially conceded by the opposition though a friendly will take place instead. This was Lindum 5s‘ last game of the season and has given them three points to secure a top two finish in the league table.

Even if third placed Hull University 2 win both of their remaining two games, against Hull Hawkes and Barton, they won’t accumulate enough points to displace Lindum 5 from the two promotional positions in the league.
Captain Laura Latarche has said “This has been a fabulous bunch of players and well deserved. It has been an honour to be their captain. Well done girls you are ALL ACE and have done me proud.”
Next season will see Lindum 5 play alongside Lindum 4 in Division 5 East of the Yorkshire Hockey league.
