The Captains of the Senior Hockey Teams at Lindum Hockey Club have been announced for the 2017 / 2018 season

Under the new Club Committee structure for this season, John Harrison – in his role as Competitions Officer has announced the captains for the club’s senior teams for the 2017 / 2018 hockey season. The first friendlies for the season begin this weekend and the following will be at the helm for their relevant teams…

Ladies Captains

• 1st Team – Maxine Clark
• 2nd Team – Georgie Deacon
• 3rd Team – Kerry Buckley-Rees
• 4th Team – Emily Watson
• 5th Team – position not filled

Mens Captains

• 1st Team – Sam Temple-Baxter
• 2nd Team – James Hillsmith
• 3rd Team – John Harrison
• 4th Team – Matt Igoe
• 5th Team – position not filled
• 6th Team – position not filled

Mixed Captain

• Mixed Team – Ben Treadgold

Team Vacancies

Vacancies for the role of captain continue to exist for the Ladies 5th team, and Mens 5th and 6th teams. The role of captain is not particularly arduous once you get into a rhythm and build a core of regular players around you, and can be very rewarding. Skills picked up can often benefit in other areas of your life and you also have a full support network from the club’s committees behind you as well.
