The weekend of May the 11th and 12th sees the England Hockey County Championships take place at the Lindum Sports Association

Lincolnshire Hockey, along with the Lindum Sports Association and Lindum Hockey Club, are hosting Pool 2 of the England Hockey County Championship top Division A at the Lindum Sports Club on the weekend of May the 11th and 12th. It is a great honour that they have been asked to hold the championship again this year, having last held it very successfully in 2014 just after the pitch was opened. England Hockey invested a considerable sum of money along with Sport England and other benefactors to put down the Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) at the Lindum, the main home of Lincolnshire Hockey. Lindum Hockey Club are delighted to be co-hosting this event with the County and the Lindum Sports Association who own the pitch.

Lincolnshire are welcoming county teams from Kent, Somerset (last year’s winners), Surrey and Sussex in what should be a tremendous weekend of top quality hockey, with all teams playing each other in an exhausting four match schedule for each county.

Matches start at 10.30am on Saturday 11th May and continue throughout the day, and on Sunday 12th May matches commence at 9.00am.

Spectators

Entrance is free for all, so do come along and see not only some great county hockey matches but the chance to also see some of our own Lindum Hockey Club players in action. The Lincolnshire team is made up of some England Hockey National League players as well as a some players from local Lincolnshire clubs.

There will be plenty of food on sale with both an outside barbecue and inside in the clubhouse, along with drinks in the clubhouse bar at the Lindum.
