Weather Affected Training (wc 26/2)

The “Beast From The East” has arrived and weather conditions are affecting this week’s hockey
The “Siberian Blast” of cold temperatures and snow has arrived to give February a final kick, on its way out, during an already cold winter that has seen plenty of games rescheduled and training events cancelled.
This page will be updated throughout the week, pending further onslaughts from “The Beast”. Needless to say, any sessions that do take place this week should be attended with plenty of layers!
Monday the 26th of February
At the time of writing the pitch is fine but there is a biting wind, snow throughout the day and expected plummeting temperatures have deemed training not ideal for our Under 12s. Therefore hockey training this evening is not taking place.
Tuesday the 27th of February
Continuing snow showers throughout Tuesday provides little surprise that Mens’ Training isn’t taking place tonight, with concerns not over the state of the pitch but also the road network in the face of more snow and falling temperatures (we don’t want anyone taking unnecessary risks).
Wednesday the 28th of February
All hockey activity today has been called off; the pitch is covered in snow!
Thursday the 1st of March
Perhaps unsurprisingly, with weather conditions showing little sign of improvement, all of Thursday’s hockey is off as well.
We’re now getting to the point where the snow is likely to impact the weekend’s plans so please keep an eye on the website and club communications regarding Saturday’s and Sunday’s fixtures.
This Weekend
Fixtures and Junior Hockey have been affected throughout the weekend.
We'll let you know whenever weather stops play, training or if changes to usual sessions are planned.
