Presidents’ Day will, this year, open up the new hockey season on September the 1st 2018

As in previous years, Lindum Hockey Club starts its season with a big event at the start of the league hockey year. This year, our “Presidents’ Day” takes place on Saturday the 1st of September and is open to everyone; club members and anyone who wants to give hockey a try.

Lindum Hockey Club’s Presidents, Nick Anderson and Tony Perrin, will be hosting the day and are inviting former members back from Lincoln and Lincoln Roses clubs to join us. The event forms a part of England Hockey’s ClubFest 2018.

• Goalkeeper clinic run by Alan Sanderson
• Beat the Goalkeeper run by Alan Sanderson
• Crazy catch hockey challenge run by Hurricane Sports Foundation -prizes to be won
• Lindum Hockey Club skills challenge – prizes to be won
• Shooting target game – prizes to be won
• Mini matches – junior and adults
• Space hopper hockey
• 1pm: parents vs kids
• 2pm: men’s section vs ladies section

Off-Pitch Activities

• Flutterby Face painting and tattoos
• Anthony Nolan – tombola
• Little pottery studio – pottery and competition
• Blyth activity centre – combat archery and axe throwing
• Lindum Hockey Club Bake Off – each team represented (judging taking place at 12)
• Barbecue
• Exclusive Hockey stall with preseason hockey bargains and special offers

The first Saturday morning Junior Hockey training session will be on the following Saturday (the 8th of September).
