Gary Johnson, Coach of the Year 2018
Gary Johnson, 1st Team Manager and Club Development Officer, has been awarded ‘Coach of the Year’ by Lincolnshire Sport
At an awards ceremony held last Thursday at the Lincolnshire Showground, club member Gary was awared the Michael Beard Coach of the Year award by Lincolnshire Sport at their annual ceremony.
The award, sponsored by Bishop Grosseteste University, recognises recipients for major contributions to the lives of people through their coaching, and achieved positive results throughout the year. As well as his work with England Hockey and several other hockey bodies throughout the country, Gary managed the 1st Team to league dominance last season and saw them promoted to the Northern Premier Hockey Division.

This is the second time that Garys been awarded with the Michael Beard Coach of the Year award, having also been the award’s recipient in 2015.
