Junior Virtual Hockey, 6th of April
Another week in social isolation so today we run through the Best of the Web with Virtual Hockey Skills put out there by the hockey community
With the entire country (if not a large portion of the world) still in lockdown and social isolation, this week we take a look at what other sources of home-hockey is being put out for players, young and old, to keep working on.
Former Lindum Hockey Club player, Stuart Kirk puts his pretty face to good use in front of the camera with some “Hockey Skills at Home”
I've been looking at how to keep people occupied and I found the best way in what I can do is do Hockey skills at home and challenges! This is second week so far so have a bit of fun with it a keep hockey alive at home! #vivalahockey https://t.co/ynq6Yf4AON?

Hockey on TV
When you’ve had enough fresh air, or for when the weather turns bad, why not see how top-level hockey is played? Please ensure you have the consent of your parent / guardian before watching videos online (you could invite them to watch these with you).
Great Britain Women achieving Gold at the Rio Olympics in 2016
A great compilation of “Ultimate Field Hockey Skills” from international level, courtesy of Love Hockey…
Watch, especially on the clips where the ball goes from one end of the pitch to the other, how much teamwork is involved and (usually!) how much the ball moves, and how quickly, compared to the players.
What Have You Been Up To?
Meanwhile we’ve had some great responses to the club’s challenges and it’s great to see that you’ve been keeping yourselves active and entertained!
Eva’s been tearing up the garden with her orange cones and Gary Johnson’s Teaser Tuesday challenge…
Thanks for the challenges @LindumHockey Eva (age 7) has been really missing her a Saturday sessions but has been practising today and managed 3 1/2 laps in a minute. ππ»ππ»ππ» pic.twitter.com/kYk3GNu0N7

Great work, people! Keep them coming and let us know how you’re getting on!
Give Us Your Feedback
Let us know how you’re getting on with these challenges, either on social media or via the contact page. Be honest about it and you might even get a shout out the following week!
Got a Question?
If you’ve got a question you’d like to put to our junior coaches about anything hockey-related, or if there’s a specific skill you’d like some advice on then we’ll throw it Alex’s way we’ll see if we can include it on a future challenge.
All of our videos are published on Lindum Hockey Club’s YouTube Channel.
