A statement in response to the latest Coronavirus information, March the 16th 2020

In line with the latest updates on Coronavirus / Covid-19 from England Hockey, all Lindum Hockey Club activity is suspended and this is in effect immediately. This includes all training sessions being cancelled across all age groups and abilities, along with future fixtures.

This suspension takes place until further notice while the situation and advice continues to change.

We are faced with an unprecedented situation at the moment. Any updates to this will be posted via our usual channels.

Questions

What about our remaining league games?
At the moment we believe that league activities have been suspended and, we assume at the moment, will resume at a later time. Thankfully none of our Lindum Hockey Club teams are in a fight for promotion or are staving off league relegation with the games remaining.

There was only a single weekend of league games remaining, for some teams, and a Mixed Team game on the 29th before the close of the hockey league season.

What about Summer Hockey?
The summer hockey league is run by Hurricane Sports Foundation, who will give their own advice regarding this competition.

What about the End of Season Ball?
As it is due to take place in mid-April, this event currently has a question mark over it but more will be known closer to the time and a decision will be made then. This event doesn’t have a time constraint so there are options available here.
